After a fantastic weekend the storm clouds began to gather on Sunday evening. Here's the view to the west from Boston.

There is something so ominous about stormy skies and lightning. But at the same time you cannot deny the accompanying fascination.

Awesome shot!

We've been having storms too, but I've never been able to catch such a wonderful shot.

I spotted your comment on another blog and followed you to yours. It is fun to discover great blogs this way and yours is very enjoyable. I am always very impressed with lightning images, never having caught one myself or having the know-how to do so. Fantastic image!

It's very dramatic - almost like the lightning is tearing open a space in the sky.
