Shells on Barry Island

pebbles on the beach at Barry Island

When we visit the beach I head straight to where the tide has left the stones and shells to look for anything interesting.  If I'm lucky I'll find a few fossils to add to my collection.  Unfortunately I didn't find much on Barry Island.  The only fossils were embedded in huge rocks :-(

Nicely composed shot, good soft light too. Well done!

I have a glass cockle jar filled with very small pebbles which I collected at Porth Neigwl (Hells Mouth) a few years back. I enjoy examining the different types of rock and the way they have been eroded during years in the sea.
