The Slopes of Ingleborough

the snowy slopes of Ingleborough

Ingleborough is one of the three peaks of Yorkshire with the remains of an Iron Age hill fort and a Roman camp on the summit. Unfortunately I've never made it to the top, turning back three times thanks to bad weather. Maybe one day :-)

Nice photo! My family history traces back to 13th century Yorkshire.

Your picture tells its beauty. Maybe one day we can see its "inner beauty".

Fantastic photo and the tree just adds that special touch. It's beautiful and majestic and I'm sure you will make it to the top one of these days.

This is a great scenery photo. It must be even better being there. One day you'll make it to the top.

Beautiful landscape. I really like the patterns made by the traces of snow.

Anytime I see a contrasting geographical landscape, it really makes me think about the history of the area.

We have a mountain everyone likes to climb called, Pikes Peak. It's in Colorado,USA. Every year there is a race up the peak. I haven't done it in years. It is hard since the air is pretty thin up there.
I like your photo, the appearance it give is serene and peaceful. Looks like one could just mosey up the mountain and sit a spell. Maybe some day I will see it for real.
Thank you for stopping by my Auntie E,s On the Go blog.

Hi great post and Blog, when you reach the summit do you know that you can actually see as far as Snowdonia in Wales. Must be a super view from up there, good luck with it.
