Basically, Carry on Round Here...

strange sign in Louth - basically carry on round here...

I spotted this strange sign on Eastgate in Louth:

...Basically, carry on round here, it curves to the right (don't deviate), turn right down the side of the town hall (it's a typical Victorian looking town hall), then over the crossroads...

It's one of thirteen signs created by artist Rupert Clamp for the Lost in Louth art project. Rupert pretended to be lost in Louth, asking for directions. He created the signs from the directions people gave him.

That is really funny! I love the humour in that and the idea of making signs out of people's wacky directions...

I have the type of face that makes people approcah me al the time in London and ask for directions. I love it!

Luckily I haven't met that artist, I'm terrible at giving directions and it would be very embarrasing to see them written on a sign lol!

The directions people give very often make little sense. I'm wondering if any of the signs reflect that. :)
