It's difficult to see how the boat house at Belton could have been used to store boats... The door is only a couple of feet wide.

It is gorgeous. Maybe boat house was just what the called it? I, too, wonder how far you have to go to get a boat into any water LOL! And you most certainly would not want to damage that incredible green lawn in the process. Thanks for a great photo! I live in the desert, so everything green is pretty to me :)
