Sheep Don't Know the Green Cross Code

I've been sorting through photos as I move them to a new computer and I found this sign which is close to Enochdhu in Scotland. The Green Cross Code is a campaign to teach children how to safely cross the road. The sheep were wandering aimlessly in the road without a thought for the Green Cross Code!

This post has brought back childhood memories of being in the car surrounded by a flock of sheep on its way somewhere, and not even being able to edge forward. It seemed to happen often enough not to arouse much comment! Similar but later memories of herds of cattle being taken to be milked as I was trying to get to work when we lived deep in the countryside.

Thank you for that little jaunt down memory lane. :)

If I didn't read your note at the bottom, I would have taken that sign in a different view! :-)

This is pretty funny!

The geese around here have the same problem. Maybe they need to teach the Green Cross Code to the sheep and the geese.
