The Old East Passage, Gaping Gill
A few days ago we paid another visit to Gaping Gill, a pothole in Yorkshire with a 110m drop from the surface. Once inside we went off to explore the Old East Passage.
After climbing the east slope and scaling a small ladder we entered a wide low passage. Progress along the passage varied between stooping and a crawl.
The passage is well decorated with an abundance of stalactites :-)

If I were younger I would have a field day scrambling around in this cave.
Haha- that's some pothole. Although there was one in Chicago last week that DID swallow a whole car.
Crawling and stooping - NO THANKS! Give me the open air any day!
Oh you are brave, it's not for me
I think I've only been in a cave once, and that was on a tour. I often wonder how I would react to doing something like this. I know for some people it would be terrifying, but I can see where it would be an incredible adventure.
Cave pics are nice. It seems to be an interesting place.
